SRHU’s library services are one of the best among the private universities in India and are provided through four faculty libraries i.e. Medical Institute library called Central Library, Management School Library, Library of the School of Engineering and Technology and Nursing College Library.
Central Library of the University was established as Medical College Library in 1992 to support Medical, Paramedical and Nursing courses. It has now completed almost 25 years. Its monograph collection has increased to more than 17,000 and library subscribes to more than one thousand foreign journals (mostly e-journals) with access from 1995 onwards in most cases and 119 Indian Journals. Carpet area of Central Library is 2400 square mtrs (Apx), with total seating capacity of 425. It has an excellent collection of 5412 back volumes of journals. Swami Rama section of the library is devoted to the books related to the founder of the University, His Holiness Swami Rama.
Nursing College Library contains key collection beneficial for its faculty and students. However, most of the requirement of Nursing College is met by Central Library. Journal subscription of the College of Nursing is also taken care of by Central Library. Central Library subscribes to more than 100 titles in the field of nursing, besides a collection of 5000 books.
Management School Library is housed in Management building. It has a collection of more than 3500 books. It subscribes to two databases i.e. J-Gate and EBSCO Business Source Elite that contains more than 600 full text journals.
Engineering School Library is housed in Engineering School building. It has a collection of more than 7000 books. It subscribes to three full text databases i.e. ASCE, ASME and IEEE that contains more than 244 full text journals.
